At Heins Jewelers, we understand that selling your gold, silver, and platinum jewelry can sometimes be confusing and intimidating. But, you don’t have to worry about that when you come see us. We will walk you through each step, giving you knowledge and understanding of your items so you can make an educated and informed decision when selling.

  • You never need an appointment, stop in anytime and one of our staff will be happy to help you.

  • The first step of the process involves separating your jewelry based on gold karat (10k, 14k, 18k, etc…) or as sterling silver or gold-filled. If you are unsure whether your jewelry is real or costume, don’t hesitate to bring it all in. We will gladly separate it for you.  Jewelry is often stamped with a karat marking that we will recognize, and if it is not, we can test the gold content in a way that will not damage your items. Silver coins are identified by year and will determine the silver content of the coin. 
  • Once we have everything separated, we will weigh everything by the gram, and based on the current prices of gold and silver, quote you a price for your jewelry and coins. Keep in mind precious metal prices fluctuate every day and the price you are quoted one day may be different the next.
  • If you accept our offer, we will ask for a valid driver license and for you to sign our form stating the items are your property along with a list of the items sold.  

Appraisal Services

We also offer appraisal services for interested parties. It is important to ensure that your most valued possessions are insured to preserve their actual value. We have a rate of $75 per item, and our turnaround time is 2 to 3 days.

Jewelry and Watch Repair

We offer full service jewelry and watch repair with our on-site goldsmith and private local watchmaker and clock repair specialist. We service all watches, including vintage and pocket watches. All your jewelry repairs come with a 30 day guarantee, watch and clock repairs come with a 1 year guarantee. Estimates are always free.

Watch Battery Replacement

We replace batteries and bands on virtually any kind of watch. Our batteries come with a 1-year guarantee and the option to upgrade to a 5-year or lifetime warranty.
